Academy instructors of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia - Nino Kartskhia and Irakli Tsaguria successfully completed the 14-week basic training course of the Illinois State Police Academy.
The delegation of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, led by the rector - Ivane Papiashvili, was invited to the ceremony dedicated to the closing of the course.
The mentioned course was implemented for the first time between the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the US State Police Academy of Illinois, within the framework of cooperation with the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL)
With the received knowledge, Georgian instructors will modernize the training process in the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In parallel with the closing ceremony of the course, within the framework of the visit, the Georgian delegation got familiarized with the activities of the Illinois State Police Academy and various police units. The parties also discussed issues of future cooperation in the field of police education.
